About the Role
We are excited to offer a full-time, permanent opportunity for a National Clinical Scheduler based at Auckland Hospital (Grafton). In this role, you will be responsible for managing the national clinic appointment process for our service and ensuring that patients are effectively progressed through the booking system.
As a key member of our team, you will schedule outpatient appointments for patients across Aotearoa while managing the waiting list in line with service targets. It is essential that the scheduling process remains patient-focused. This position allows for collaborative work and promotes professional growth and knowledge exchange among team members.
About the Team/Service
You will be joining the New Zealand Familial Gastrointestinal Cancer Service (NZFGCS), a dedicated national service funded by Health New Zealand. Our multidisciplinary clinical team includes Family History Assessors, Gastroenterologists, and Colorectal Surgeons who specialize in identifying, assessing, and managing individuals with familial gastrointestinal cancer syndromes. The team is also committed to providing education, information, and support to families, including medical management advice and a colonoscopy surveillance referral program.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will need strong prioritization, problem-solving, and self-management skills, as the role involves navigating an ever-changing landscape. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with a genuine empathy for patients, are essential for creating a positive patient experience. A minimum of three years of relevant work experience in a similar role is required.

Remuneration
The salary range for this position is between $75,201 and $78,358, which reflects your skills and experience in alignment with the position banding.
