IT Manager

About the Company We are a respected national organization currently seeking an IT Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make a significant impact in an organization that is undergoing substantial changes in the IT landscape. About the Role In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of six, with the potential for team expansion. You will oversee project delivery across a wide range of disciplines and play a key role in establishing our security strategy. Your responsibilities will also include hands-on technical duties as needed, managing vendor relationships, and performing ad-hoc tasks. Requirements The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: - Proven experience managing a team in various IT sectors, including service desk, service delivery, security, and data. - A strong ability and desire to work autonomously and take initiative. - Willingness to engage in hands-on tasks when necessary. - Extensive experience with Azure is required. - Demonstrated experience in delivering IT projects. - Familiarity with modern data platforms, particularly Snowflake, is desirable. - Understanding of Azure DevOps and DevOps principles is also a plus. Please note that candidates must already reside in Wellington and possess the legal right to work in New Zealand.
