About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Anaesthetic Technician or Registered Nurse Anaesthetic Assistant to join our Theatre team at Timaru Hospital. This position offers part-time to full-time opportunities, with hours ranging from 64 to 80 hours per fortnight. The shifts will be rostered Monday through Friday, with additional on-call responsibilities.
In this role, you will be an integral part of our Operating Theatre service, assisting in various peri-operative scenarios while maintaining the highest level of patient care. You will work collaboratively with a team that values integrity, collaboration, accountability, respect, and excellence.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A current Medical Science Council (MSC) approved Registered Anaesthetic Technician practicing certificate or a Registered Nurse with Anaesthetic Assistant Qualification and Practicing Certificate
- A minimum of one to two years of relevant technical experience
- Knowledge of the legislation and standards governing healthcare practice in New Zealand
- Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills
