About the Role
We are currently inviting student midwives who are graduating in 2025 and are interested in our 2026 Graduate Program to submit an Expression of Interest for a position at Timaru Hospital.
Our program is designed to provide a supportive and encouraging environment for new midwives as they embark on their careers. We aim to enhance your clinical practice and critical thinking skills through a tailored program that meets your individual needs. The 14-month program facilitates a smooth transition from student to practicing midwife, including supernumerary, reflective, and study days.
Eligibility Criteria
This program is open to graduate midwives who have completed their midwifery education in New Zealand and are New Zealand citizens or permanent residents. About the Team/Service/Location
The Jean Todd Maternity Service, located within Timaru Hospital, provides care to women in South Canterbury, handling approximately 550 births annually. Our services cater to a range of needs, from normal and low-risk pregnancies to complex and high-needs cases.
