About the Role
As a Commercial Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in various commercial projects. We are looking for a skilled and reliable individual who possesses a strong work ethic and solid carpentry experience. This position requires the ability to work independently on diverse tasks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Assembling structural steel, installing tilt panels, forming work, installing frames, and completing finishing work
- Working with a variety of tools and materials
- Maintaining site cleanliness and safety by adhering to all health and safety protocols
- Solving problems on the fly, making adjustments, and proposing solutions to overcome challenges during construction
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial carpentry with a minimum of four years preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Capability to tackle unexpected challenges on-site
- Ownership of tools and a valid driver’s license is preferred
- Site Safe, Working at Heights, and EWP tickets are beneficial but not essential
