About the Role We are currently seeking a Pool Crew member who will play a vital role in providing quality supervision at our facility. In this position, you will ensure that our environment remains enjoyable and safe for all visitors. Your strong customer service skills, clear communication abilities, and practical mindset will be essential in making a positive impact. The hours for this role will vary according to the roster, with shifts scheduled from early morning through to 7:45 PM, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity in the leisure industry, with pathways for further training and aquatic qualifications. As the successful candidate, you will: - Bring a positive attitude and a proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team - Demonstrate confident swimming abilities, with the capacity to swim eight lengths of the pool within six minutes - Exhibit flexibility in working a variety of morning, evening, and weekend shifts - Be dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to our community - Hold a valid working visa that permits employment with a single employer for at least 12 months without sponsorship Requirements - Positive, can-do attitude with a team-oriented approach - Confident swimming ability - Flexibility to accommodate a variety of shifts - Commitment to outstanding customer service - Valid working visa Benefits In return for your contributions, we offer: - Training in Pool Lifeguarding Practicing Certificate (PLPC) - Training in Comprehensive/Workplace First Aid (6400, 6401 & 6402) - Competitive market remuneration - Opportunities for career progression and additional training, such as the New Zealand Certificate in Aquatics – Pool Lifeguard (Level 3), swim school, swim skills, trainer assessor, and aqua fitness - A supportive and enjoyable working environment - Regular work hours - Access to our facility for fitness and training - Membership in our Organization Social Club If you are passionate about community health and well-being and meet the requirements outlined, we encourage you to apply and join our team in making a difference in our region.
