About the Role
The Patient Administration Service (PAS) encompasses our Call Centre, which serves as the first point of contact for all callers, whether they are internal or external.
As a Call Centre Operator, your responsibilities will include managing incoming calls, addressing patient inquiries, handling paging and emergency alerts (777 and duress alarms), coordinating doctor rosters, managing swipe card access, and responding to technical queries. You will play a vital role within the wider Patient Administration Services team, collaborating closely with both clinical and non-clinical staff to enhance the patient experience. Additionally, you will undertake various administrative tasks that support our daily operations. The salary for this position ranges from $66,611 to $75,268.

We provide a high-quality, customer-focused telephone service to external and internal customers, including patients and their relatives. We also collaborate closely with Emergency Management to ensure effective communication and coordination during emergencies. Our team operates on a rostered and rotating basis, providing 24/7 coverage across both the Wellington and Hutt Valley sites.
About You
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in a call centre environment with 24/7 coverage.
- A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and responsibility in your role.
- Ability to maintain patient and office confidentiality in accordance with the Privacy Act.
- Proficient computer skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- A customer-focused attitude and the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
