About the Role – Butcher We are currently seeking an experienced Butcher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing a variety of fresh meat products to a high standard, ensuring that our butchery department remains fully stocked, fresh, and visually appealing throughout the day. Key responsibilities include: - Preparing, cutting, and displaying beef, lamb, pork, and poultry products while adhering to customer and food safety expectations. - Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, following all food safety and health and safety procedures. - Ensuring that all products are properly trayed, wrapped, and labeled. - Assisting with stock control, rotation, and waste minimization. - Delivering excellent customer service and sharing product knowledge with shoppers. - Collaborating with team members to meet daily production targets and presentation standards. Requirements We are looking for a butcher with: - A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or an NZQF Level 4 butchery qualification. - Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. - A passion for delivering quality and consistency in products. - Reliability, motivation, and the ability to work effectively within a team. - Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills. Benefits We offer a competitive pay range of $26 to $31 per hour, based on experience, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week (with typical weeks totaling around 40 hours).
