We are a well-established civil and earthworks company based in Dunedin, renowned for our commitment to quality and safety. As we embark on a substantial project starting on January 12, 2024, and running through mid-2026, we are seeking skilled Class 4 drivers to join our team.
About the Role
This position presents an excellent opportunity for contractors looking for temporary work to maintain their income, as well as for experienced drivers aiming to demonstrate their skills and transition into a full-time role within our reputable company.
We are offering strong job security with a project that is secured through to mid-2026. We anticipate an immediate start on January 12, with work hours ranging from 45 to 55 hours per week, including potential Saturday work if desired.
As part of our team, you will be engaged in a major trenching project located in Kaikorai Valley, extending to the Waikari Road substation. Your primary responsibility will be operating a Class 4 tipper truck, and experience with additional machinery will be considered a valuable asset.
Requirements
We are looking for individuals who possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Skilled Class 4 drivers, with W.T.R certification being an added bonus
- At least 2 years of experience in the civil or earthworks industry in New Zealand
- Confidence in driving and reversing large vehicles on-site
- A solid understanding of health and safety practices
- A positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to the team's success
- Reliability and motivation, along with a friendly demeanor
