Description
About the Company
Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldier's Hospital, part of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, is dedicated to improving health outcomes for the community. We are grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and committed to creating a health system that serves all New Zealanders effectively.
About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Anaesthetic Technicians to join our dynamic perioperative team at Hawke's Bay Hospital. Whether you are looking for a permanent full-time position, part-time hours, or casual work, we are open to tailoring a role that meets your needs.
As part of our team in the eight-theatre operating suite, you will gain hands-on experience across a range of surgical specialties, including orthopaedics, general surgery, gynaecology, ENT, vascular, and urology. Our facilities also support procedures in endoscopy and angiography suites, allowing you to expand your clinical skills in a supportive and well-equipped environment.
What sets this role apart is the opportunity to work at the forefront of your profession. Our Anaesthetic Technician team is unique in New Zealand, as we are involved in both ICU and Flight Transfer Services. You will have the chance to participate in critical care transports, including fixed-wing and helicopter retrievals, assisting some of the region's most vulnerable and critically ill patients.
We understand the importance of work-life balance. With two permanent night shift staff on the roster, night duties are infrequent, allowing you more time to enjoy your life outside of work.
