About the Role We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Rotational Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Te Matau a Maui Hawke's Bay. This position will be based at the Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Hastings. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering pharmaceutical care and advice to inpatients. Your responsibilities will include rotations through various wards, including orthopaedic, general surgery, cardiology, neurology, renal, and respiratory. Additionally, you will support dispensary functions as part of our pharmacy team. About the Team/Service/Location Our team is collaborative and supportive, and we are looking for a colleague who aligns with our core values of Respect, Partnership, Care, and Improvement. We offer support and guidance as you develop your clinical skills, including regular journal clubs, grand rounds, clinical talks, and access to an Education and Training Pharmacist to aid in your professional growth. We also encourage participation in external training opportunities. In Hawke's Bay, we have an active local branch of the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand (PSNZ) that organizes continuing education sessions. For early-career pharmacists, there is a vibrant Early Career Pharmacist Network available. About You We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset, dedicated to providing quality service. Your role will be crucial in training Intern Pharmacists and undergraduates while also supporting the wider pharmacy team and dispensary functions. You will find fulfillment in enhancing and developing medicine services at the hospital and collaborating with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure optimal patient care.
