    About the Company We are a vibrant Vietnamese restaurant located in Christchurch, dedicated to providing our customers with authentic flavors and a warm dining experience. Our team is passionate about food and committed to excellence, and we are currently seeking two skilled Bakers to join us. About the Role This is a full-time, permanent position offering a minimum of 30 hours per week, with an hourly rate starting from $27.50. Our restaurant operates seven days a week, from 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM, so we require individuals who are flexible and able to work evenings and public holidays. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking traditional Vietnamese breads, including Banh Mi, along with their fillings. We are looking for candidates who have at least three years of relevant experience or a Level 4 qualification or higher in baking. Requirements The ideal candidates will possess the following skills and qualifications: - Proven experience in baking authentic Vietnamese bread types - Ability to weigh flour and other ingredients accurately to prepare dough - Knowledge of adjusting oven temperatures for proper baking - Skills in mixing, cooking, and seasoning various ingredients to create authentic fillings - Understanding of food storage regulations and proper temperature control - Commitment to maintaining food portioning and presentation standards - Ability to monitor supplies and reorder stock as necessary - Proficiency in cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas and utensils - Experience in collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely completion of food orders - Capability to efficiently resolve issues related to customer orders - Knowledge of food health and safety regulations Benefits We offer a supportive work environment where you can grow and enhance your baking skills.
