    About the Company Kam Wah is a well-regarded Asian restaurant located in Dunedin. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences and are committed to fostering a positive work environment. We are currently looking to expand our team and are in search of three dedicated Cooks to join us in our culinary journey. About the Role We are seeking three full-time Cooks who are positive, ambitious, and capable of handling responsibilities in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidates will remain focused and in control while contributing to our team's success. Vacancy Details Job Title: Cook Employment Type: Permanent & Full-time Days Required: Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster Hours per Week: Guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours, with a maximum of 50 hours Wage: $28-33 per hour Number of Vacancies: 3 positions Primary Duties As a Cook at Kam Wah, you will be responsible for the following tasks: - Set up the kitchen with necessary cooking utensils and equipment. - Study recipes and gather all required ingredients. - Manage portion sizes effectively and control waste. - Ensure timely preparation of dishes to the highest standards. - Prepare, measure, and weigh ingredients according to recipes. - Cook a variety of dishes with attention to detail. - Operate kitchen equipment safely and monitor inventory levels of food supplies. - Perform any other tasks as directed by the Director, in alignment with the Employee’s Employment Agreement. Requirements To be successful in this role and to fit within our team, candidates should meet one of the following criteria: - A qualification at Level 3 or above in culinary arts or related fields, OR - At least 24 months of relevant work experience, including roles such as kitchen hand, assistant cook, or other kitchen-related positions.
