About the Role We are excited to announce an opportunity for an Industrial Electrician to join our dedicated team in Taupo. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in domestic or commercial electrical work who are eager to expand their skills in an industrial setting. Our team provides guaranteed exposure to control systems, variable speed drives (VSDs), and instrumentation, ensuring you have the support necessary to thrive. In this position, you will report to the Electrical Supervisor and be responsible for various electrical activities as outlined by your team lead. You will collaborate with a team of Electricians, Apprentice Electricians, and support staff to perform a wide range of electrical tasks in accordance with contract requirements, including project work, planned maintenance, and reactive assignments. Your responsibilities will include: - Executing tasks related to Industrial Electrical, PLC, and SCADA assets as directed by your EICA Team Lead and clients. - Performing maintenance and repairs, as well as new and existing automation and electrical installations promptly and efficiently. - Carrying out other general duties as assigned. - Traveling within the Taupo district as needed, with a tool of trade provided. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: - A qualified and registered Electrician with an EWRB practicing license. - Experience in automation, along with knowledge of Industrial PLCs, SCADA, and instrumentation is advantageous. - A minimum of a Class 1 driver’s license; Class 2 and F are preferred. - Proficiency in computer use, including the ability to complete time and job sheets and operate static and mobile telemetry devices. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan jobs, manage teams, and operate and maintain equipment independently.
