About the Company
We are excited to announce that our client is embarking on a significant phase of growth and is looking for an experienced Operations Manager for their Electrical Division. This role will be pivotal in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the successful delivery of various projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
About the Role
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the electrical division. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing project delivery, job scheduling, and resource planning. You will ensure compliance with EWRB regulations, AS/NZS 3000, and electrical safety standards, while coordinating with site supervisors to facilitate timely and safe project completion.
Additionally, you will support the estimation and quoting processes by reviewing drawings and coordinating with suppliers. Budget management, including labor and materials, will also fall under your purview. You will lead, mentor, and develop a team of electricians and apprentices, fostering a strong health and safety culture. Moreover, you will act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding project updates and issue resolution.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Registered Electrician or Electrical Inspector (EWRB)
- Strong understanding of New Zealand electrical regulations and the Electricity (Safety) Regulations 2010
- Proven leadership experience in electrical operations
- Proficiency in project coordination and quoting support
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- A full New Zealand Driver’s Licence
