About the Role
We are currently hiring full-time Scaffolders for permanent positions available nationwide. This role is ideal for organized and trustworthy individuals who take pride in their quality workmanship. You will be motivated and results-driven, with your site location determined by project demands.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for building and erecting scaffolding and working platforms for construction projects. Additionally, you will construct stands and tiered seating for public events such as concerts and sporting events.
Your specific duties will include:
- Inspecting areas requiring scaffolding and making calculations to determine the appropriate type of scaffolding needed.
- Unloading scaffolding materials and assembling tubing and braces to create frameworks.
- Fitting ladders, rails, and other attachments to the scaffolding.
- Checking and maintaining scaffolding equipment, inspecting structures for safety, and dismantling scaffolding upon project completion.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant scaffolding experience.
- A friendly demeanor with strong time management skills and an excellent work ethic.
- A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry.
- A sound knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Reliability and a strong work attitude.
Nationwide Opportunity and Travel
Although this role is listed in Nelson, we are actively recruiting for positions that will be deployed across all regions of New Zealand, depending on project requirements. The regions include:
North Island: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington.
South Island: Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland.
We encourage applicants from any of these regions to apply, and you must be willing to travel or relocate as needed. Please note that relocation costs will be covered by the company.
Benefits
We offer a competitive pay range starting at a minimum of $26.00 per hour, reaching up to $40.00 per hour. Employees are guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours of work per week. Our full-time, permanent roles come with provided personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools, along with the opportunity to work on significant infrastructure and commercial projects.
