About the Role We are thrilled to collaborate with our client to present an excellent opportunity for a Digger Operator to join their dynamic earthworks team. This is a temp-to-perm position with an immediate start. If you have experience operating heavy machinery, such as excavators, and enjoy tasks including digging, trenching, loading, and site preparation, we want to hear from you. In this role, you will work on various civil projects across Christchurch, operating diggers ranging from 1.5T to 12T. A WTR endorsement is essential, and a Class 2 license is preferred. You will be part of a medium-sized team that values hard work and offers numerous opportunities for career growth and progression. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to approximately 5:00 or 5:30 pm, although some projects in the wider Canterbury region may require later finishes. Requirements We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria: - Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a similar role - Class 1 Full License (Class 2 preferred) - Current WTR endorsements - Ability to operate 1.5T-12T diggers confidently and efficiently - Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset - Capability to pass a pre-employment drug screen - Professional presentation, as you will be representing our client on-site Benefits We offer a competitive hourly rate ranging from $30 to $32 to start.
