About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of various fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, and suppression systems in commercial and industrial environments. Your expertise will help ensure compliance with all New Zealand safety standards and building codes. This field-based position allows you to work independently while being supported by a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire systems.
- Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently.
- Install new fire protection systems.
- Complete accurate job reports and maintain effective communication with clients.
- Participate in our after-hours on-call roster.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fire Systems Technician in the New Zealand market.
- Proven knowledge of fire alarm brands and sprinkler systems; experience with suppression systems is a plus.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Qualifications
- NZ Registered Electrician or relevant Level 4/5 Fire Protection qualification.
- A valid New Zealand Driver's License.
- A Site Safe Passport is required (or a willingness to obtain one).
