About the Role
We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Mental Health Assistants to join our Intensive Mental Health Services team. This is a casual role that offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to make a meaningful impact in the mental health field.
In this position, you will provide essential support to mental health patients and staff. Your responsibilities will include general housekeeping, assisting with personal care, and addressing various physical needs within our mental health service. Each day will present unique challenges and opportunities to work closely with patients who require your care and support.

About You
This role can be physically demanding, and we require candidates to possess a certain level of fitness and strength.
Key skills and attributes we are looking for include:
- Experience in a similar caregiving role
- Flexibility to take on shifts on an on-call basis
- A genuine passion for supporting people and the community
- A commitment to helping others, particularly in the realm of mental health
- A New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 4) or a commitment to pursue this qualification within six months of employment
