About the Role We are currently seeking two Gardeners to join our team: one part-time position based in Botany and one full-time position based in Birkdale. Both roles will follow a shift pattern from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. As a valued member of our Villages team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that village gardens and green spaces are maintained to the highest standards. You will report to the Team Manager and collaborate closely with your crew. Your responsibilities will include: - Creating and maintaining gardens to meet client expectations by sourcing plants and materials, following garden plans, and adhering to best practices. - Managing the daily operations of your designated site. - Communicating regularly with the operations manager, team managers, and clients, while promptly addressing and reporting any garden or planting issues. - Prioritizing safety, compliance, and quality in all gardening activities. Requirements Our ideal candidate will possess Level 3 or Level 4 National Horticulture qualifications, a Growsafe Certification, and a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role. Additional skills and experience we are looking for include: - A full Class 1 driver’s license with the ability to drive a manual vehicle. - Extensive knowledge of plant species and their maintenance requirements. - The ability to accurately follow and implement gardening plans. - Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with the public and clients. - A proactive attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in all tasks.
