    Job Title: Pou Tōkeke Project Coordinator Location: Dunedin FTE: 0.8 FTE About the Company WellSouth Primary Health Network is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of our communities, with a particular focus on supporting Māori populations. We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Pou Tōkeke Project Coordinator. This role presents a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of Māori communities by coordinating and supporting essential equity projects. About the Role In your role as the Pou Tōkeke Project Coordinator, you will collaborate closely with the Project Coordinator - Tuakana and the project sponsor. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of our equity projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Key responsibilities include: - Coordinating the delivery of equity projects by applying project management principles to achieve successful outcomes. - Enhancing the health of Māori and Pacific communities by improving access to and enrollment in primary care services. - Supporting primary and community providers in their efforts to achieve health equity and promoting continuous improvement in health equity. - Assisting vulnerable communities in becoming familiar with and comfortable using available primary health services and tools. Requirements We are looking for a proactive individual who possesses excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to improving health outcomes for Māori communities. The ideal candidate will have: - Experience providing community support to Māori, Pacific, and other groups. - Comfort working with primary care and managing confidential patient information. - Strong time management skills and a proven track record of coordinating programmes and projects. - An understanding of project management principles, along with excellent written and oral communication skills. - Good computer literacy and a high degree of self-motivation, with a willingness to continually improve. - Experience working with diverse communities, including an understanding of their unique health needs and cultural contexts.
