About the Role We are currently seeking a hands-on and self-motivated Pest Control Technician to join our dynamic team in Hamilton. In this full-time role, you will serve as the first line of defense against pests, providing expert advice and proactive service to solve customer problems. You will manage a portfolio of clients throughout the Hamilton region, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and care. This position requires working from Tuesday to Saturday, from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM. If you are comfortable with late hours and weekend work, we encourage you to apply today! Requirements To be considered for this role, applicants must have the right to live and work permanently in New Zealand. Key responsibilities include: - Efficiently maintaining, loading, and unloading your service vehicle each day to prepare for scheduled assignments. - Conducting thorough inspections at both commercial and residential sites to identify pest activity and determine appropriate treatment plans. - Applying effective pest control solutions and offering expert advice on prevention and ongoing management. - Identifying hygiene risks and environmental concerns to create safer, healthier spaces for clients and their teams. - Accurately completing digital service reports after each visit to document work undertaken and recommendations made. - Delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor in all interactions. - Staying attentive to customer needs and identifying opportunities to recommend additional services that enhance outcomes. - Participating in weekly team meetings to connect and plan the upcoming week. A successful candidate will possess: - A full New Zealand driver’s license with a clean driving record. - A clean criminal record. - A genuine love for the outdoors and local environments. - Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships. - A safety-first mindset and the capacity to adhere to strict and evolving health and safety procedures. - Confidence in using a mobile phone and related applications. - The ability to work independently in the field while also being a team player. - A willingness to travel long distances and stay overnight when necessary. - Physical strength and comfort working outdoors in varying environmental conditions. Desirable qualifications include: - Previous knowledge of pest control methods and regulations. - A New Zealand Certificate in Pest Operations - Urban Pest Control. - Working at Heights and EWP licenses and experience. - A current NZ Firearm License. - The ability to drive a manual vehicle.
