We are currently looking for an exceptional General Manager - Capital Markets to join our Finance Leadership Team. This role is pivotal in strengthening our financial position and driving the success of our Gen35 strategy.
About the Role
In this high-impact position, you will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and work closely with our Chief Executive. As the General Manager - Capital Markets, you will play a vital role in shaping and delivering a compelling investor proposition, overseeing debt markets and treasury operations, managing key external relationships, and ensuring that Genesis' capital settings and valuation framework foster sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
You will lead Genesis' capital markets strategy, investor relations, debt management, and treasury operations. As a trusted advisor, you will provide insights to the Chief Executive, Chief Financial Officer, Executive Team, and Board regarding financial market positioning and risk management.
Building strong, proactive relationships with investors, credit agencies, banks, regulators, and government bodies will be crucial. You will drive a robust Group valuation framework to support decision-making, capital allocation, and financial resilience.
Your role will also involve leading external engagements, including investor days, debt raising efforts, and roadshows. You will champion continuous improvement, compliance, and best practices in financial governance while mentoring and developing a high-performing Capital Markets team during this strategic finance transformation.
About You
We are looking for individuals with relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, or a related discipline, with experience in a publicly listed company being preferred. You should possess over 15 years of senior leadership experience in Finance, Capital Markets, Banking, or Corporate Finance.
Your commercial acumen should be at a mastery level, complemented by outstanding analytical and strategic capabilities. We value thought leadership, a winning mindset, and the ability to create solutions. Exceptional communication and influencing skills are essential, along with a proven ability to build strong partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
You should be an experienced leader who thrives in dynamic environments, inspiring high performance through change while being resilient, structured, yet curious and future-focused. A deep understanding of shareholder value creation is crucial for this role.
