About the Role We are looking for an R&D Laboratory Technician to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will help ensure the smooth operation of our R&D Centre, support laboratory work, and uphold health and safety standards. You will manage various laboratories and storage areas, including the Creation Lab, Packaging Lab, Transport Testing Lab, and Pilot Plant. Responsibilities R&D Centre Management: You will be responsible for ensuring that the centre and its equipment are operational, safe, and well-maintained. This includes managing the scheduling of the Pilot Plant, executing analytical calibrations, and maintaining high hygiene standards. Product Development Support: You will provide essential lab support for product development, which involves batch preparation and overseeing pilot plant runs. Administration: Your duties will include managing invoices, liaising with external suppliers, ordering stationery, and supporting procurement processes. Raw Materials and Consumables: You will maintain stock levels of raw materials, packaging materials, gas supplies, and chemicals to ensure smooth operations. Health, Safety & Wellbeing: You will review activities for safety, identify hazards, and report any incidents to uphold a safe working environment. Compliance: It will be your responsibility to operate in accordance with Suntory Oceania's policies and procedures. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess a qualification in Food Technology or a related field. Previous lab experience, particularly within the FMCG sector, is highly desirable. You will need strong communication skills, both oral and written, along with the ability to build relationships effectively. The capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is essential.
