We are currently seeking experienced Structural Steel Fabricators to join our team and contribute to our continued success. About the Role As an Experienced Structural Steel Fabricator, you will play a vital role in our operations. You will be responsible for interpreting and following engineering plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to assemble and install steel structures. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that all components are constructed to the highest standards of safety and quality. Given the nature of our projects, you may be required to work across six regions, so flexibility with work locations is preferred. Key responsibilities include: - Interpreting engineering plans, blueprints, and technical drawings - Assembling steel structures and securing them using bolts, rivets, or welding techniques - Installing structural steel components at various construction sites - Cutting, shaping, and welding steel materials to meet specified requirements using both machine and hand tools - Inspecting and maintaining equipment and tools for safe and effective operation - Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all work performed - Collaborating with engineers, crane operators, riggers, and other tradespeople on site - Performing repairs or modifications to existing steel structures as needed - Working independently or as part of a small team Requirements To be successful in this role, we are looking for individuals with the following qualifications and skills: - A minimum of 2 years of work experience in steel fixing, welding, fabrication, or related fields is preferred - A friendly demeanor and a strong work ethic are essential - Effective time management skills - A commitment to continuous learning and skill development within the industry - A sound knowledge of health and safety procedures - Reliability and a strong work ethic - Ability to pass a Criminal Check and Drug Test Benefits We offer competitive pay rates ranging from $30.00 to $40.00 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, we guarantee a minimum of 30 hours of work per week. Location The primary work locations for this role will include Auckland, Waikato, Northland, Nelson, Canterbury, and Otago.
