About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-focused Service Mechanic to join our Dunedin team. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to work both in the field and within our workshop, servicing and repairing a diverse range of materials handling equipment.
In this role, you will be responsible for scheduled servicing, handling machine breakdowns, and conducting pre-delivery inspections on forklifts and other equipment. You will utilize an online system to accurately record and complete job records while ensuring that your van, equipment, and tools are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A mechanical trade qualification along with relevant mechanical experience
- Proficiency in diagnostics and servicing
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A current New Zealand driver's license and a willingness to participate in a rotating on-call roster
