About the Role The summer season runs from October 2025 to March 2026, with deployment expected around October. Please note that return dates will be confirmed later. Working in Antarctica is unlike any other environment, and we are looking for hard-working team players who are willing to contribute fully. You will be involved in a large commercial construction project focused on interior fit-out work. Your responsibilities will include various aspects of tiling, such as surface preparation, waterproofing, laying floor and wall tiles, grouting, and ensuring a high-quality finish throughout. Due to the repetitive nature of some tasks, attention to detail and consistency are essential. Experience in commercial tiling is required. What’s the Catch? There are a few important considerations for this role: - You must be willing to receive vaccinations for Flu, Tdap, and MMR. - These positions are not ‘fly in, fly out’; you will be on-site for an extended period. - Expect long working hours, typically six days a week. - Start dates are approximate and depend on your successful completion of medical and dental checks, obtaining security clearance, fulfilling your notice period, and ice flight availability. - A pre-employment drug and alcohol test is mandatory. - You need a Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence and a clean criminal record. - The application process is extensive; patience is required when navigating through it. - You may need to travel to Tauranga for medical and dental examinations, and we will cover the costs of testing and flights if you are coming from outside the Bay of Plenty.
