About the Role
We are currently seeking a Sterile Supply Technician to join our Central Sterilising Unit (CSU) team at Timaru Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for the cleaning and sterilization of medical equipment that comes from the operating theatre. The CSU team plays a vital role in ensuring that all medical equipment is properly sterilized, prepared, and sealed for reuse in the theatre and throughout the hospital. Your contribution will be critical to the smooth functioning of our hospital services.
About You
We are looking for a flexible individual who is open to working a rostered and rotating shift pattern, which includes hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 8:30 PM. The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of attention to detail and concentration.
Preferred qualifications and experience include:
- A Sterilising Certificate, although we will consider candidates who are willing to obtain this qualification.
- Experience working in a Sterilising Unit.
- The ability to work efficiently and effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of work under pressure and a customer-focused approach.
- The legal right to work in New Zealand.
