About the Role We are currently seeking Immunology Registrars for the 2026 training year. As an Advanced Trainee in Immunology, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior clinicians who are passionate about patient care and education. In this role, you will focus on clinical immunology and allergy, managing a diverse range of immune system disorders including allergic conditions, immune deficiencies, and autoimmune diseases. The position is primarily outpatient-based, with a dedicated Immunology day stay unit. For more information on Advanced Training in New Zealand, we encourage you to visit the RACP website. Medicine Registrar runs in the Auckland region are typically six months in length, allowing for rotation into different placements. You can find example run descriptions for the 2025 training year on the Auckland Doctors website. In the Auckland region, you will work alongside knowledgeable senior clinicians who will provide exceptional supervision and mentorship. About You To qualify for these positions, you must have passed the FRACP written and clinical exams and completed basic training. It is highly recommended that you apply to the Specialty Advisory Committee (SAC) for Immunology to ensure your runs are accredited to your advanced training. You must be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, and we will provide support and assistance with this process. Additionally, we have a six-month rotation available for those interested in gaining experience in Immunology Medicine as part of their general medicine or specialty training. Candidates must be at least Basic Trainee Registrars with the RACP and be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. If you are already an Advanced Trainee in Immunology and currently employed in the Auckland region, you do not need to apply through this listing, as you will have independent meetings with your specialty. Please note that even if you are a current RMO employee in the Auckland region seeking a six-month allocation or applying for advanced training in Immunology, you must submit a formal application.
