We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and safety, ensuring that our team members have the support and resources they need to succeed.
About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Steel Fixers for immediate and ongoing positions throughout New Zealand. These are full-time, permanent roles with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week. We welcome applicants who are open to relocating or traveling as required.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting engineering plans and drawings to accurately cut, bend, and place steel bars and mesh. You will utilize proper techniques to tie rebar for various reinforcement systems and ensure that steel is placed and secured within formwork prior to concrete pouring. Adherence to health, safety, and quality standards on-site is essential, as is the ability to work efficiently as part of a large construction team under strict deadlines.
Skills and Experience Required
To be successful in this position, you should have a minimum of three years of experience in steel fixing or reinforcing steel, either in New Zealand or overseas. You must possess the ability to read and work from technical drawings, and demonstrate strong physical fitness and attention to detail. Experience on commercial, civil, or infrastructure projects is preferred, and relevant trade experience or qualifications will be considered advantageous.
