We are currently seeking experienced scaffolders for multiple roles throughout the Nelson and Tasman region. Our projects often require flexibility in work locations, as we may ask you to assist in various areas across the country.
About the Role
As a scaffolder with OneStaff, you will be responsible for dismantling temporary metal scaffolding to create work platforms and structures on building and industrial sites. Your duties will include:
- Planning and arranging scaffolding based on job requirements.
- Selecting and preparing the necessary materials for each project.
- Loading and unloading scaffolding and equipment on-site.
- Erecting scaffold structures by lifting and positioning sections and bolting pipes together.
- Establishing platforms and implementing safety measures.
- Inspecting and repairing scaffolding to ensure safety and stability.
- Installing guard rails and safety netting.
- Maintaining a clean workspace, including tools and equipment.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Carrying out other duties as assigned.
Pay Conditions
The pay for this role ranges from a minimum of $29.66 per hour to a maximum of $34.00 per hour, depending on your experience. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours of work per week.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 2.5 years of relevant scaffolding experience or a relevant qualification.
- A friendly demeanor, strong time management skills, and an excellent work ethic.
- Flexibility to work in various locations across New Zealand.
- A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry.
- A dedication to health and safety practices on-site.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
This role may require travel to multiple locations throughout New Zealand, including regions such as Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.
This is a permanent, full-time role, and applicants must be New Zealand citizens or residents, or hold a valid New Zealand work visa.
