About the Role
We are currently looking for Junior Structural Steel Fabricators to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are essential to our projects. Flexibility in work locations is preferred, as you may be required to assist across six regions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Following engineering plans, blueprints, and drawings to ensure accuracy in fabrication.
- Assembling steel structures and securing them using bolts, rivets, or welding.
- Installing structural steel components at construction sites.
- Cutting, shaping, and welding steel materials to meet required specifications using both machine and hand tools.
- Collaborating with other trades as needed to ensure project success.
- Performing repairs or modifications to existing steel structures when necessary.
- Working as part of a cohesive team to achieve project goals.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience in steel fixing, welding, fabrication, or a related field.
- A friendly demeanor and a strong work ethic.
- Effective time management skills.
- A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry.
- An understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- The ability to pass a Criminal Check and Drug Test.
Benefits
We offer a competitive pay range of $26.00 to $40.00 per hour, depending on experience. A minimum of 30 hours of work is guaranteed each week.
Location
This position primarily requires you to work across Auckland, Waikato, Northland, Nelson, Canterbury, and Otago.
