    About the Company We are a dedicated organization that provides structured sports and movement-based programs for early childhood education (ECE) centers throughout the Hibiscus Coast and Auckland region. Our focus is on fostering physical, social, and emotional development in young children, using sports as a platform to help them grow with confidence. As we expand our operations, we are looking for a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as a Sports Coordinator & Development Officer. About the Role In the position of Sports Coordinator & Development Officer, you will play a vital role in planning and delivering age-appropriate sports sessions for children. You will also coach and mentor junior coaches while maintaining strong relationships with center staff and parents. Your key responsibilities will include: - Planning and delivering Playball sessions in accordance with our coaching syllabus - Managing child safety, welfare, and conducting individual progress reviews - Coaching and supporting new or junior coaches to ensure consistent program delivery - Adapting sessions for children with diverse physical or cognitive needs - Coordinating trial classes, birthday parties, and holiday programs - Maintaining attendance records and coaching rosters - Communicating effectively with center managers, parents, and the business owner - Ensuring all sports equipment is safe, well-maintained, and readily available - Attending coaching workshops for ongoing professional development Requirements To succeed in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria: - A minimum of three years of relevant work experience or a suitable qualification - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - A strong understanding of early childhood development principles - The ability to adapt programs for children with special needs - Confidence in working independently and managing a weekly coaching schedule - A full driver's license and reliable transport for travel between centers - The ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test - A clean police report with no pending charges Benefits We offer a competitive pay range of $30 to $35 per hour, with guaranteed hours of at least 30 hours per week and the possibility of up to 40 hours per week. This is a full-time, permanent position with working days from Monday to Friday, occasionally requiring calls on weekends.
