About the Company We are a dynamic event planning company specializing in organizing large-scale events, weddings, and ongoing occasions. Our team is dedicated to creating memorable experiences for our clients, and we are currently seeking a talented Event Decorator to join our growing team. About the Role As an Event Decorator, you will play a crucial role in bringing our clients' visions to life. You will be responsible for designing and implementing event decor that aligns with the client's style preferences and budget. This position requires a blend of creativity, logistical coordination, and strong communication skills. Your key responsibilities will include: - Utilizing relevant experience or qualifications to promote conferences, conventions, and shows to potential customers. - Responding to inquiries regarding our services, including costs for room and equipment hire, catering, and related services. - Meeting with clients to discuss their needs and presenting package options that fit those requirements. - Arranging and coordinating various services such as conference facilities, wedding planning, catering, signage, displays, audiovisual equipment, accommodation, transport, and social events for participants. - Organizing the registration of participants and negotiating the types and costs of services to be provided within the allocated budget. - Overseeing the work of contractors and reporting any variations to work orders. - Understanding the client's vision, style preferences, and budget for event decor. - Identifying and sourcing necessary materials, props, and supplies, including lighting, furniture, linens, and floral arrangements. - Maintaining clear communication with clients, event planners, and other vendors throughout the planning process. - Overseeing the setup and arrangement of decorations at the event venue while ensuring safety and compliance with venue regulations. - Collaborating with vendors for floral arrangements, lighting, rentals, and other necessary services. - Managing logistics and ensuring effective coordination with all vendors and customers. Requirements To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should have: - A minimum of two years of relevant experience or a relevant qualification in event decoration or planning. - Strong communication skills and the ability to think creatively. - A flexible schedule, with the willingness to work late nights, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required. Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $30.00 to $32.00 per hour, depending on experience.
