About the Role
We are currently seeking a hands-on Landscape Supervisor to lead one of our Open Space Maintenance teams. This is a unique, multi-faceted role that requires an organized individual with a passion for their work. This position offers an opportunity to shape the team, foster innovation, and facilitate growth.
Requirements
To thrive in this role, you should bring the following qualifications and experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience (and/or relevant qualifications) in soft landscaping, with a strong understanding of planting plans and landscape maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with both internal and external clients while influencing outcomes and keeping the team aligned.
- A practical problem-solver who is proactive in finding smart, hands-on solutions that deliver real value.
- A confident leader capable of reading and interpreting plans while effectively allocating work.
- A strong commitment to health and safety, with an understanding of the importance of mitigating risks and maintaining a safe working environment for everyone.
What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will have various responsibilities, including:
- Leading daily operations by supervising and supporting your team across parks and landscapes, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Planning and delivering work by reading and interpreting landscape and planting plans, allocating tasks, and managing resources to meet contract requirements and deadlines.
- Driving team performance by conducting toolbox talks, providing on-the-job training, and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Supporting innovation and growth by identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and contributing to new initiatives that add customer value.
- Building strong relationships by working closely with internal and external clients to maintain high service standards and resolve issues promptly.
