About the Role
We are currently seeking empathetic and passionate Support Workers to join our specialist team in Alexandra. Our teams are our most valuable asset, and we are dedicated to recruiting and training exceptional individuals. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients in their homes, helping them achieve their goals and reach their potential through both practical and emotional support.
Your responsibilities will vary based on individual care plans but may include tasks such as:
- Meal preparation
- Community outings and integration
- Medication administration
- Personal care (including assistance with showering and toileting)
- Bowel management stage 3
- Manual handling and hoist transfers
- Home management
Requirements
We are looking for individuals who have a strong desire to help and support others, striving for excellence in all their endeavors. While previous healthcare or caregiving experience is desirable, it is not essential. Key qualifications include:
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work alternative weekends
- Healthcare qualifications are advantageous
- A full New Zealand driver's license and reliable transport is required for most positions
