About the Role
We are currently seeking empathetic and passionate Support Workers to join our specialist team in Alexandra. Our teams are our most valuable asset, and we are dedicated to hiring and training exceptional individuals. We are looking for energetic and motivated individuals to provide support to clients in their own homes.
As a Specialist Support Worker, you will assist our clients in achieving their goals and reaching their full potential through both practical and emotional support. Your responsibilities will vary based on the care plan established for each client, and may include:
- Meal preparation
- Community outings and integration
- Administering medication
- Providing personal care such as showering and toileting
- Managing bowel care (stage 3)
- Manual handling and hoist transfers
- Assisting with home management tasks
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help and support others, striving for excellence in all tasks. While previous healthcare or caregiving experience is desirable, it is not essential.
Key requirements include:
- Excellent communication skills and flexibility to work alternate weekends
- Healthcare qualifications are advantageous
- A full NZ driver's licence and access to reliable transport is typically required

Benefits
We offer our Support Workers competitive pay rates ranging from $23.50 to $29.10 per hour, along with a variety of shifts. You will have the opportunity to earn while you learn, with access to free training toward NZQA Health and Wellbeing qualifications.
