About the Role We are seeking a Branch Manager for our Hamilton branch, a leadership role where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact. Our customers and our people are at the core of what we do, and your strong leadership and commitment to safety will empower your team to achieve excellence. In this role, you will report to the Area Manager and take full ownership of the branch's financial performance. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing Profit and Loss, driving EBIT, and overseeing effective cost control, budget variance analysis, and accurate forecasting. - Leading a customer-focused team, collaborating with both customers and sales colleagues to consistently deliver outstanding service. - Strategically planning the allocation of people, resources, and transport to meet and exceed business objectives. - Inspiring and developing your team's skills and capabilities while creating a culture that promotes growth and high performance. - Driving a vision focused on growth and efficiency, aligning the team's abilities with the evolving scale and complexity of the business. - Managing key performance metrics, including utilization, claims, Customer DIFOT, safety, and customer service, by leading by example. - Championing a culture of safety and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards across the branch and network. - Collaborating with national and regional teams to contribute to shared success. Requirements To succeed in this role, you should possess the following key skills and experience: - At least 5 years of experience in an operational leadership role within transport, logistics, or a similar industry. - Proven capability in planning and executing strategies to deliver on objectives. - A strong focus on revenue growth. - An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data for informed decision-making. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to network and build strong working relationships. - A people-focused approach to leadership.
