About the Role We are currently seeking a passionate Cook to join our team at the Swanson center. This role presents a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives by preparing nutritious and delicious meals that support their growth and development. You will play a key role in creating a positive mealtime experience for our children. What You'll Be Doing In this role, you will be responsible for planning and preparing fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for the children. You will follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times and accommodate any special dietary requirements or allergies. Managing kitchen inventory and supplies will also be part of your responsibilities, along with maintaining a clean and organized kitchen space. Additionally, you will collaborate with teaching staff on meal planning to ensure our children receive balanced and enjoyable meals. What We're Looking For We are looking for candidates with experience in commercial cooking or food preparation. A food safety certification is preferred, or a willingness to obtain one. A strong understanding of child nutrition principles is essential, along with excellent organizational and time management skills. Above all, we seek someone who genuinely cares for children's well-being and has the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
