    About the Company RCR Infrastructure Limited is a New Zealand-owned national provider specializing in planned maintenance, reactive services, and compliance for minor and major projects. We operate within the HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical industries, delivering high-quality service and installations across New Zealand. Our diverse clientele includes small retail stores, mid-sized office buildings, and high-rise commercial properties. We handle everything from upgrades and refurbishments to new commercial developments. About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic HVAC Service Technician to join our Service team. In this role, you will be responsible for meeting client needs through maintenance, service, and remedial tasks. Your experience will be key in providing exceptional service, as you will respond to various HVAC system requirements. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Your primary responsibilities will include servicing and commissioning commercial air conditioning systems, including VRF or VRV systems, chillers, and heat pumps. You will perform preventative maintenance, fault diagnostics, and repairs, as well as check and refurbish refrigeration systems. Additionally, you will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems, clean and adjust systems, and carry out warranty services. Prompt and efficient emergency repairs are essential, as is the ability to foster strong business relationships with clients and colleagues. You will maintain high standards and adhere to quality assurance procedures, including OSH requirements that align with our health and safety policies. You will work with daily job allocation schedules and be responsible for completing assigned tasks within estimated time frames while ensuring all relevant paperwork is accurate. Maintaining logs and records of maintenance functions is also part of your role. This position requires the ability to work independently and be available for an on-call roster. Requirements To be successful in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: - A clean full New Zealand driver’s license - An EWRB limited electrical license is beneficial but not essential - Level 4 Trade Certificate or Level 5 Advanced Trade Certificate in refrigeration and air conditioning - A registered refrigerant handlers’ certificate is beneficial - Relevant work experience as an HVAC/R Service Technician or equivalent trade qualifications - Experience in HVAC commercial project installations, repairs, and maintenance - Familiarity with the telecommunications maintenance environment is beneficial - A gas and fillers license is advantageous - Valid Site Safe certification is beneficial but not required - A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team and independently - Strong understanding of workplace health and safety - Excellent time management, customer service, and communication skills This position is full-time, with a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week.
