About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, energetic, and conscientious individual to join our team as a Community Support Worker. In this rewarding role, you will provide vital support to clients living with complex injuries or disabilities within their own homes. Your responsibilities will include assisting clients with personal care, home help, shopping, and meal preparation, as well as supporting exercise programs. You will also be involved in moving and handling clients using hoists and manual transfers, and assisting them in accessing the community.
Days of Work: This is community-based work, and you will be required to work on a rotating roster, which includes morning, afternoon, and weekend shifts. We are open to discussing your preferred hours during the recruitment process.
Pay Band: The hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $24.13 to $30.03, in accordance with the Pay Equity Settlement established by the Ministry of Health, which baselines pay rates on the equivalency of healthcare qualifications.

Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Experience in personal care is essential.
- Experience with complex care needs, such as bowel and SPC care, as well as managing challenging behaviors, is preferred.
- A Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Health and Wellbeing would be advantageous; however, we are open to considering candidates looking to establish a career in the healthcare industry.
- Access to your own vehicle and a Full Driver’s License is required, given the community-based nature of the work.
- Flexibility to work on a roster, including weekends, is necessary.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Legal rights to work in New Zealand are a must.
