About the Role
In this position, you will have the opportunity to support individuals facing mental health concerns or intellectual disabilities, helping them establish daily routines and engaging in meaningful activities. We offer a strong work-life balance, allowing for 4 to 5 days off each week after working 48 to 72-hour blocks. We also provide shorter shifts of 4 to 8 hours as needed, with the requirement of covering one weekend shift every two weeks.
You will have the chance to travel to various locations across the North Island as part of your work, and we promote ongoing learning opportunities. At MindFull, the office team is dedicated to supporting you, ensuring you feel valued and heard within our organization.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A full driver’s license
- A Level 4 or above qualification in a health or youth-related field
- Experience in the healthcare or community sector, particularly working with youth
- A reliable vehicle with current warrant and registration

- Have previous experience in the field
- Are trauma-informed and knowledgeable about mental health approaches, including de-escalation and active listening
- Are culturally aware and sensitive
- Possess a growth mindset and are open to new research and methodologies
- Can navigate crisis situations and work with individuals with high and complex needs
- Are flexible in their approach and able to follow established plans
- Practice self-awareness and reflective practices
- Are seeking work-life balance and are open to a casual contract with flexible hours
