About the Role
We are currently seeking an energetic and friendly Café Assistant to join our team at Summerset Wigram. In this casual role, you will play a vital part in the daily operations of our on-site café, where we prioritize quality service for our clients. As we continue to grow, we are looking for someone who shares our values and can contribute positively to our culture.
As a Café Assistant, you will be the face of our business, engaging with a diverse range of individuals, particularly our elderly residents and their families. Flexibility is key, as shifts will be provided on an as-needed basis, primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend shifts.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting customers and processing their orders
- Preparing high-quality coffee and serving food from the cabinet
- Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, including washing dishes and managing waste
- Assisting the chef with stock management and food preparation
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service to enhance the café experience for our residents and their guests
- Can provide timely and efficient support to the chef
- Preferably have prior experience in coffee making, food preparation, and presentation
