About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Manitou Telehandler Operator/Yardperson to join our well-organized construction team on a significant, long-term commercial construction project. This role offers a dynamic work environment, where your day-to-day responsibilities will include operating machinery, managing deliveries, organizing the yard, and assisting with general labor as needed. If you thrive in a busy setting and enjoy contributing to the smooth operation of a work site, we would love to hear from you.
Wages: $28-$32 per hour, based on experience
Location: Christchurch
What You Will Be Doing
- Operate the Manitou telehandler and/or forklift
- Manage site deliveries and material movements
- Keep the yard and storage areas organized and well-stocked
- Assist with stock control and basic inventory management
- Support the site crew with general labor tasks
- Adhere to all on-site health and safety procedures
What We Require
- A valid NZQA Telehandler ticket or an equivalent qualification
- F and/or W licence endorsements
- Proven experience in commercial construction settings
- A reliable, organized, and safety-focused work ethic
- A positive attitude and a collaborative, team-first approach
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- A valid Site Safe or Construct Safe certification (we can assist with this)
