About the Role We are currently seeking a passionate Coffee and Tea Beverage Master to join our team in Auckland. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for sourcing raw materials to ensure that our blends meet specifications while aligning with quality and financial objectives. As a key contributor, you will identify and implement cost optimization strategies related to coffee and tea ingredients, products, manufacturing, and processes. In this position, you will: - Champion quality through skilled and objective sensory evaluations of our products. - Oversee flexible blending and local development of coffee and tea blends, recipes, and protocols in accordance with JDE's R&D standards. - Ensure the availability of green coffee and tea at the right quality to meet product specifications and financial goals. - Support the commercialization of new product development and operational processes within our Auckland manufacturing unit. - Serve as a resource for sharing coffee knowledge across the business, including training associates as needed. Requirements We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience: - Experience in coffee roasting and blend development. - A background in tea blend development is highly desirable. - Proficiency in sensory evaluation techniques. - A broad technical understanding of food manufacturing and technologies. - A proven track record in commodity procurement within budget constraints. - A minimum of 5 years of experience in the tea or coffee industry across various roles.
