About the Role
We are seeking experienced Steel Erectors to join our expanding Christchurch Division. In this role, you will be responsible for installing first and second fix steel work, purlins, and trusses. Our projects vary from portal frame buildings to large-scale commercial developments throughout New Zealand.
We encourage candidates who are open to cross-training with our wider construction team and who are willing to pursue additional training in Carpentry as needed. Your goal will be to achieve a high level of competency in quality construction that meets our company standards and ensures client satisfaction.
Requirements
As a vital member of our Construction team, you will need a thorough understanding of New Zealand's commercial construction methods. You should confidently apply your skills to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards.
We are looking for individuals who are energetic, eager to learn, and enjoy working collaboratively. You should be willing to take ownership of your tasks. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of relevant industry experience and possess the following skills and attributes:
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit
- Strong attention to quality
- Willingness to work away from home when necessary
- Commitment to providing exceptional quality service to our clients
- Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand
- Rigging tickets, access, and working at height certifications are desirable
- Proactive and dedicated to Health and Safety Management
- Proven experience in a similar role is essential
