About the Role
We are currently seeking either an experienced Machine Operator/Lead Fencer or a candidate with transferable skills in building, landscaping, or machinery operation who is eager to learn and grow with our team. This position is available due to the departure of a valued team member who is heading overseas.
The role offers a diverse range of responsibilities, including working across industrial, residential, civil, and school projects mainly located in Christchurch and throughout the South Island. You will engage in various tasks that involve machinery operation, delivery driving, and fencing work. Specifically, you will operate machinery to auger post holes, move goods, and support overall site operations.
Wages for this position range from $28 to $35 per hour, depending on experience.

What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Operating machinery such as diggers, skid steers, and light trucks
- Driving and delivering materials to various job sites
- Assisting with fencing and construction tasks
- Supporting site operations across a range of projects
What We Require
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A full Driver's Licence (Class 2 is an advantage)
- Experience operating machinery and power tools, or a willingness to learn
- Physical fitness and reliability, paired with a strong work ethic
- A background in fencing, building, or landscaping is preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, suppliers, and team members
- The ability to pass pre-employment drug testing and police vetting
