About the Role We are currently seeking four Commercial Cleaners to join our team in Christchurch on a full-time basis. If you have a passion for maintaining clean and hygienic spaces, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. The positions will primarily be located in Christchurch, but occasional travel to various work sites may be required, including overnight stays for company-related tasks. This is a permanent full-time role with a minimum of 30 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours as needed. The work schedule may include shifts from Monday to Saturday, and you may be assigned to morning or afternoon shifts. We offer a competitive wage rate ranging from $25 to $30 per hour. Day-to-Day Duties As a Commercial Cleaner, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: - Performing a comprehensive range of cleaning tasks with precision and efficiency. - Building and maintaining strong client relationships. - Ensuring that residential and commercial spaces are cleaned to the highest standards. - Expertly using specialized cleaning equipment and chemicals as required. - Demonstrating meticulous attention to detail to achieve impeccable results. - Communicating effectively with clients to address their unique cleaning needs. - Vacuuming carpets, curtains, and upholstered furniture. - Cleaning and removing dust from furniture, walls, ceilings, toilets, and pipes. - Stripping wax from floors and polishing surfaces. - Utilizing a water blaster when necessary. - Adhering strictly to safety protocols and guidelines. - Reporting any issues at the site or with clients to the manager promptly. - Carrying out any other duties assigned related to the job. Qualifications and Experience - Proven experience as a professional cleaner is preferred but not required; a willingness to be trained to a professional standard is essential. - No formal qualifications are necessary, as appropriate training will be provided to the right candidates. - Flexibility to work various shifts and days is important. - Exceptional time management skills and the ability to work efficiently are required. - Physical stamina and the capability to handle cleaning equipment safely are necessary. - A positive attitude and a strong work ethic are essential. - A Class 1 driving license or equivalent (if obtained overseas) is preferred.
