At Extrastaff, we are a leading Labour Hire Company dedicated to connecting skilled professionals with exciting opportunities across New Zealand. We are currently seeking full-time carpenters to join our team and support various project works throughout the country.
About the Role
We are hiring experienced carpenters to work on commercial, residential, and infrastructure construction sites. The location of each project will vary based on demand, making this an excellent opportunity for those open to relocating or traveling. In this role, you will be guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per week, with full-time, permanent positions available. We provide necessary personal protective equipment and tools, as well as potential travel or relocation support on a case-by-case basis.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings
- Performing formwork, framing, cladding, and finishing work
- Constructing, installing, and repairing various structures
- Maintaining health and safety standards on site
- Working on rotating project sites throughout the country
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of three years of carpentry experience, either in New Zealand or overseas
- A trade qualification, such as the New Zealand Certificate in Carpentry Level 4, is preferred
- The ability to work independently and adapt to new environments
- A strong work ethic and a commitment to safety
Nationwide Opportunity and Travel
While this role is listed in Otago, we are actively recruiting carpenters for deployment across all regions of New Zealand based on project requirements. Areas include:
North Island: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington
South Island: Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland
