About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanic with expertise in vehicle compliance to join our friendly and fast-paced team in New Lynn. This part-time position, requiring 20 to 30 hours a week over three days, is crucial for ensuring that imported vehicles adhere to New Zealand's safety and compliance standards. In this role, you will inspect, assess, and certify vehicles for roadworthiness, and you will have the opportunity to drive the cars you certify.

What You'll Be Doing
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing mechanical compliance inspections on imported vehicles.
- Maintaining accurate inspection and certification records.
- Ensuring that all vehicles meet New Zealand's safety and regulatory standards.
- Identifying and addressing any issues affecting compliance.
- Safely driving vehicles for assessment purposes.
- Occasionally loading and securing vehicles for transport.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- A Class 2 Driver's License is essential.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic, with a preference for compliance inspection experience.
- Reliability and punctuality; we need you to show up and deliver consistently.
- A team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail, with a commitment to safety, accuracy, and doing things right.
